Why Are We Launching the Public Testnet?

Over the past milestones, we have gone through both Closed Beta and Public Beta with our predictors. Today, more than 62,000+ accounts are registered on Oriole Insights, and users have made over 500,000+ predictions on the platform. 

First, we want to thank everyone who has been walking this road with us and helping the platform improve every day. We also welcome the new predictors who are about to join. All planned Public Beta tests have now been completed, and we’re ready to move to the next stage.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve launched the ORI token on BNB Chain Testnet. This upgrade introduces the first version of ORI on-chain, allowing users to withdraw ORI to their wallets and deposit it back.

The testnet is designed to validate the technical reliability of our future on-chain components and to collect honest user feedback before we roll out a larger Oriole Insights upgrade.

❗️IMPORTANT: ORI IN THE TESTNET IS A TEST TOKEN ONLY. It has no market value, is not traded anywhere, is not an announcement of a token listing, and does not grant any rewards.

What Is the Oriole Insights Public Testnet?

Our Testnet is an on-chain mechanic added directly to the existing Oriole Insights platform. There is no separate app, no secondary environment, and no reset. All current users keep their full Public Beta progress, including earned ORI from successful predictions, user types, levels, and activity history.

If you’re just starting your prediction journey with us, you’ll receive 100 ORI after registration to experiment with real token movement. After signing up, complete your profile - you’ll receive an extra 200 ORI!

🆕 On-chain history section in your profile will show your connected address and a log of all deposit and withdrawal transactions between the platform and your wallet. Each of these actions requires a small gas fee in testnet BNB (tBNB), which you can obtain from the official BNB Chain testnet faucet.

How to Use the Oriole Insights Testnet? (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. Connect Metamask to your profile

Once you’re inside your profile, you’ll notice two new buttons: Deposit and Withdraw.

Before using them, you need to connect your Metamask.

*If you’re new to Oriole Insights, start by creating an account here.

• Click your nickname in the top-right corner, then go to Settings → Connected apps.

• In the list of integrations, find MetaMask. If your MetaMask is not connected yet, click Connect and approve the request in your wallet.

* Note: MetaMask can be linked once. If you lose access to that wallet, you can request a manual relink via a support ticket here. Our team reviews these requests case-by-case. This policy is designed to prevent abuse and ensure a fair on-chain flow.

When you connect your wallet for the first time, Oriole Insights will automatically suggest adding the BNB Smart Chain Testnet network in MetaMask.

If you encounter any issues with the RPC, go to ChainList, select an up-to-date, working RPC endpoint for the BNB Smart Chain Testnet, and add it to MetaMask.

2. Get testnet BNB (tBNB)

For every on-chain deposit or withdrawal of ORI, you’ll need to pay a small gas fee in tBNB. To get it, we recommend using the official BNB Chain testnet faucet and being careful with any third-party websites.

Just enter your BNB Smart Chain Testnet address and request - the tokens will arrive in a few moments. Please note: to receive tBNB from this faucet, the same wallet must hold at least 0.002 BNB on BSC Mainnet. 

As an alternative, you can also use the QuickNode faucet, which requires at least 0.001 ETH

3. Withdraw & Deposit ORI

Your wallet is connected, and you have tBNB for gas - now start on-chain test!

Withdraw ORI (from Oriole Insights to MetaMask)

1. Click Withdraw in your profile.
2. Enter the amount of ORI. *(Maximum 18 decimal places allowed.)
3. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

After confirmation, you’ll immediately see the transaction status in the On-Chain history. The ORI will be sent to your wallet.

See your ORI in MetaMask

If ORI doesn’t appear automatically in your wallet, you need to add the token manually:

• Open MetaMask → click Import tokens → Custom token.
• Paste the ORI contract address and Import:

Deposit ORI (from your MetaMask back to Oriole Insights)

For deposits, the flow is almost the same: click Deposit, choose how much ORI you want to send from MetaMask, and confirm the transaction in your wallet. 

Once it’s confirmed, you’ll see it in the On-Chain history, and your platform balance will update. You can also send ORI directly between wallets via MetaMask to test transfers between users. These are all the core actions you need to test at this stage.

Found a Bug? Get 1,000 ORI

As mentioned earlier, thoroughly test ORI on-chain deposits and withdrawals. Every edge case, failed transaction, visual glitch, or unexpected behavior helps us improve the platform before the complete upgrade.

To encourage thorough testing, we’re offering 1,000 ORI for every confirmed bug.

How to report a bug:

1. Take a screenshot or screen recording of the issue.
2. Add a short explanation of what happened.

Our technical team reviews all submissions weekly. If the issue is verified as a genuine bug (not a user mistake), the reward will be sent directly to your wallet.

How does it work?

• The ORI HODLER role is granted to users with the highest on-chain ORI balance in MetaMask.

• At launch, the role will be available to the Top 100 ORI holders.

• As participation grows, this threshold will expand (Top 500, Top 1000, and beyond).

• Once per week (every Wednesday), we’ll update the allowlist with wallets that currently rank at the top by ORI balance.

• If you drop out of the top, the role will be removed automatically on the next update.

How to Earn ORI and Reach the TOP?

1. Make correct predictions: earn ORI and increase your Reputation score, which directly affects rewards from successful predictions.
2. Complete tasks in the Motivation Program available in your profile.
3. Invite new predictors via the Community Boost Program. The more progress your referrals make on the platform, the higher your rewards.
4. Reach Reputation 10+, become a Validator, and earn ORI for validating outcomes in ROI and Polls prediction markets.
5. Use the Oriole Insights Telegram Mini App: Complete tasks, earn Insights, and convert them into ORI.
6. If you actively test ORI deposits & withdrawals, drop your wallet address in the comments under our official tweets with “Testing ORI on-chain - check my wallet: 0x…”, and we’ll review activity and reward verified users with extra ORI.

What’s Next for Oriole Insights?

This phase is an essential milestone for Oriole Insights; it’s where we validate the foundation of our future on-chain infrastructure and prepare the platform for the next big leap.

The testnet will continue running until an official announcement is made. Once we’re confident in stability and security, we’ll roll out the following milestones on the roadmap, with Mainnet as the next significant step.
