Kava, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, enables users to borrow and lend assets without traditional intermediaries. Unlike many DeFi projects on Ethereum, Kava is built on Tendermint Core, enhancing its functionality. On Kava, users lock crypto into smart contracts to borrow loans in USDX, Kava's native cryptocurrency. Using a feature in the Cosmos ecosystem called "zones," Kava manages various crypto assets on separate networks, expanding accepted assets to include XRP, BNB, Bitcoin.
